The Chains That Bind Us
The story behind my tattoo, and the dream that began my journey to true freedom.

Looking back through these seasons of my life, I realize we most likely all have them. Who you were then is not who you are now, and who you are now is not who you will be forever. Or at least I hope it won’t be. You can’t run from your scars. But you can embrace them and let God use them for his glory and good.
We never know how God will use one simple step, to impact the lives of many around us. Trust and obey my friends. Each weave in and out matters, it might just save a soul.
“You’re a runner.” The words echoed in my head. “A runner, what does that even mean?”
My broken heart had to heal though, before I could ever be ready. God had to do work in me, before he could do work through me. And I’m so glad he did.
We may think we have it all figured out. That we have a pretty good idea of our life should look like, but let me tell you, it pales in comparison to what God has for you. The blessings that await you when you stop fighting against God and his ways, are worth the humble surrender.
As the grip of darkness released me, I remembered who I belonged to. I am a child of God. I am stronger than darkness. I can choose which path I take. Darkness or light, death or life, heaven or hell. We can choose!
Let’s rip the band aid right off, and take you to one of the lowest points of my life as a man…
We should all be thinking twice before opening our mouths in judgement to others. You never know how the words you say could impact another person. You don’t know the demons they are facing.
Please take that seriously before opening your mouth.
How can you trust something you do not see?
Stated also, why do you guys follow God? How do you know your God is real? Who says Jesus exists and the god’s of other cultures don’t?
Oh what big questions…
